About All Night Cookin
Since forming in 2005, All Night Cookin' has become one of New York's most
highly sought after bluegrass bands. The four-piece core of Jon Mark
Fletcher (banjo), Jacob Tilove (mandolin), Christian Oates (guitar) and
Rawdge (bass), delivers a ferocious live performance, making ANC a favorite
among fellow musicians as well as New York's discriminating bluegrass fan
base. While staunch traditionalists, ANC brings a raw energy to the classic
bluegrass repertoire, an intensity that also infuses their original material
which addresses a range of important social issues including
heavily-drinking girlfriends and being lonesome. Virtuosic musicianship
allows them to bend the line between bluegrass and punk, the "high, lonesome
sound" and banjo driven, guitar-smashing, rock. All Night Cookin' is equal
parts intricate, driving, beautiful, and frightening, all delivered in exact
vocal harmony.
