The Calamity Janes continue their lurid affair with Brooklyn, inspiring foot-tapping in captivated audiences from the Greenpoint shores of the East River, to the muddy waters of the Gowanus Canal, to the crashing waves of Brighton Beach. The stringband of four ladies and one sir, as any good sweetheart, aims only to hold your precious attention. With what, you may ask? Nothing less than the music of America's mountains...old time, old time, old time! So, if you're feeling nostalgic for the good ol' days of 1876 - we're your go-to groove. And, if that isn't convincing enough - our friends at The New Yorker comment that The Calamity Janes are "in their late twenties." Come on! Let's have some fun. ......
