About Sweet Soubrette
Sweet Soubrette:
Sweet Soubrette features the songwriting, vocals and ukulele of Ellia Bisker, whose dark, edgy love songs have captured the hearts of listeners and reviewers since 2006. After a debut appearance was in the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, Sweet Soubrette quickly took off in the NYC independent music scene, followed by tours in France, Italy, and the Northeastern U.S. Since the release of debut album Siren Song, Sweet Soubrette has expanded to include as many as 8 members in performance (on ukulele violin, bass, drums, keyboard, and a 3-piece horn section). Sweet Soubrette's second record, Days and Nights, earned comparisons to Amanda Palmer and Regina Spektor, and the recently released EP, What's My Desire?, has continued to earn praise from critics and fans alike.
