About Albert Garzon and Lex Grey with the Sugar Shack Burlesque

Sugar Shack Burlesque presents The Love Shack - a night to celebrate our amouraous endeavors featuring Lex Grey and Albert Garzon with burlesque sensations Pandora, Kit Cat and RunAround Sue.

Albert Garzon is a pianist on a mission. Since the early 1990's he has been rediscovering piano music from America's past, including long forgotten ragtime, blues and swing. No stranger to the world of entertainment, Mr. Garzon has been thrilling audiences in Europe and America with his unique style and approach. He continues to perform ragtime and vintage jazz music in clubs and festivals in America and around Europe. Besides being a regular performer at the Arzibandi Blues Festival in central Italy, he has performed numerous times in New York, Rome, and Moscow. Albert has played such NYC venues as The Knitting Factory, The Va Va Voom Room at Fez, Joe's Pub, and the famous Five Oaks piano bar. He has recently begun working with the gospel choir at St. James Church in Harlem.

Lex Grey has mesmerized New York's die-hard music lovers since she thundered on the scene like Mae West on a Harley. Rapidly rising to the status of cult rock diva, her repertoire blends the tortured soul of the blues with bawdy burlesque and Brooklyn attitude. A highlight in New York area clubs and festivals, Lex Grey and The Urban Pioneers have cultivated a gritty sophistication uniting unusual instrumentations, traditional blues and hard hitting classic rock. Born of an impromptu acoustic jam in the back of a Williamsburg (Brooklyn) bar.
